Profile: AES Waterblasters

AES specialises in heavy-duty water blasting equipment, importing and manufacturing a robust range of electric, petrol, and diesel-powered water blasters and hot/steam cleaners

AES diesel-powered trailer water blaster

AES selects components from the best Italian and German suppliers for its equipment, which includes a range of New Zealand-designed and made industrial-duty portable or skid mounter water blasters. This reliable equipment has proven itself after many years of heavy usage by contractors, construction companies, farmers, and those in the hire industry.

The Electroblast range

This range includes single-phase (230-volt) and three-phase (400-volt) four-pole, 1440rpm low-speed heavy-duty motors and UDOR industrial duty crankshaft driven pump with brass head and solid ceramic plungers. Outputs are available from 1600psi to 5000psi with various flow rates. They are supplied on a portable chassis with a detachable handle or as a skid unit for floor or wall mounting.

The Tornado range

Featuring genuine Honda petrol engines with a three-year New Zealand warranty, a reduction gearbox or coupling drive and UDOR industrial duty crankshaft driven pump. There are nine models in the Tornado range, which can be supplied
on a portable chassis with pneumatic wheels, or as a ute pack with a 500-litre water supply tank, which is popular with contractors.

AES Tornado 200/20 engine/pump units

An extension of the Tornado range is the AES trailer-mounted petrol or diesel-powered water blasters, which are available in a variety of engine/pump outputs and an AES 500, 750, or 100-litre water supply tank. The strong New Zealand-built single-axle hot dip galvanised chassis features chequer plate guards, LED lights, and a wind-up jockey wheel. These chassis come with a five-year warranty. Popular sizes include the 3000psi, 20 litres per minute unit, which is coupled to a Honda GX390 single-cylinder electric start engine via a UDOR reduction drive, and the 3000psi, 32 litres per minute unit, which is powered by a Honda GX630 V twin-cylinder engine via a UDOR reduction gearbox.

The larger sizes are also available with a Yanmar water-cooled diesel engine. Both the Honda and the Yanmar engines are fitted with an hour meter, which takes the guesswork out of service intervals.

The UDOR range

AES are the sole importer of UDOR plunger pumps for New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. UDOR pumps are manufactured in Italy and feature brass pump heads, solid ceramic plungers, and stainless steel valve assemblies. Long life and low servicing costs are standard features of UDOR pumps.

They are available from four to 260 litres per minute and from 60 bar (900psi) to 1250 bar (18,100psi). AES prides itself on its ‘on-the-shelf’ spare parts back-up and has authorised service agents throughout New Zealand.
