Agricultural equipment manufacturer AGCO turns its attention to producing PPE (personal protective equipment)
With global lockdown in place and skyrocketing demand for PPE (personal protective equipment), leading agricultural equipment manufacturer AGCO turned its problem-solving skillset to find a solution.
The result saw AGCO use its technology to create face shields using its commercial-grade 3D printing capabilities. With teams and facilities around the world, the AGCO innovation continued and its manufacturing teams are also producing ear protectors and reusable masks in France and America, mobile hospital beds in Brazil, and individual door openers.
While the AGCO brand is better known for its production of Fendt, Valtra, and Massey Ferguson tractors, the change of focus is an excellent example of an agile company able to quickly adapt to changing demand.
