The Agrofarm Series is often the preferred machine of choice in many fencing contractors’ fleets

The Deutz-Fahr Agrofarm range is well known throughout New Zealand as a dependable and reliable choice as a front-line tractor for many tasks on farm. The basic principles that went into the design and development of this range make this particular model so popular among farmers and fencing contractors.

The Agrofarm range lends itself to operation in hill country and work in undulating terrain, thanks to a wide footprint, low centre of gravity, and true four-wheel braking.

The range spans three models – 85hp, 100hp, and 115hp variants – with the range-topping model also being available as a cabin variant. Key to this tractor’s success is the simplicity of operation and functionality of this model range.

Thanks to the tractor’s low centre of gravity, entering the flat operating platform is via two steps, making it simple to get on and off the unit when completing repetitive tasks. The layout of the operating platform is simple where all controls are neatly colour-coded based on the operation. The power shuttle gearbox provides smooth shifting in operations where an operator is frequently moving in both directions. In addition to this, the 40X40-speed gearbox (100 and 115 variants) with two creep speed ranges provides a vast range of speed ratios to match the exacting needs of the implement or application.

The hydraulic circuit on an Agrofarm has two separate hydraulic pumps, with one dedicated to the steering system while the other is dedicated to hitch and hydraulic functions. This provides a consistent and reliable flow of oil to an implement such as a post rammer.

Each Agrofarm model has adjustable wheel equipment, providing the option to space the wheel track out for maximum stability. In addition to this, the wheel equipment on an Agrofarm model is well-shod for this horsepower sector, providing greater traction and stability.

Four-wheel braking is a critical safety feature for this model and other units from the Deutz-Fahr range. Low-wear oil-immersed disk brakes are fitted to both the front and rear axle assembly providing maximum braking power at all times. This is a critical factor when working in steep terrain, as well as travelling on road at high speeds. In addition to the four-wheel braking system, the Deutz-Fahr Agrofarm range features a 100% locking front and rear differential, which provides maximum traction in demanding working conditions.

For a limited time, Power Farming is offering the Agrofarm 100 ROPS and loader combination with a number of free upgrades. This includes an upgraded Swedish-built Q4 professional series self-levelling loader with Euro hitch, boom suspension, and third service. In addition to this loader upgrade is a set of rear ballast weights, a Stihl chainsaw mount that’s fitted to the rear guard of the tractor, and a $1000 Stihl chainsaw package.
