Building on strong sales and feedback from North Island customers, FarmChief will be running regular demonstrations and on-farm visits, showcasing some of the latest technology they have been bringing into the country, including Mechanical and Rotary Strip Tillage, the Moore Uni Drill, and the Veenhuis Slurry Tanker. 

Most Farm Trader readers will be familiar with the growing cultivation method of strip till. However, it’s worth noting that it’s not as easy as choosing strip tillage over traditional cultivation, as there are plenty of factors worth considering before choosing your machine; FarmChief offers both a rotary and mechanical strip till machine to best suit individual needs, farm, and crops.

The FarmChief Complete Strip Till System features a front fertiliser tank and precision planter for a complete cultivation solution in one pass, whereas the FarmChief Strip Hawk Easy mechanical strip till allows for much faster cultivation.

Direct disc drilling is not a new concept by any stretch, but New Zealand’s most effective direct drill brings a new approach. The Moore Uni Drill is taking New Zealand by storm having only been introduced a couple of years ago. It’s proving simple and easy to calibrate and run while delivering great results, thanks to the narrow 90mm row spacing and unique self-cleaning guttler roller. Customers throughout the country are now relying on it and stock is running out the door faster than FarmChief can get it in.

A stand-out performer in throughout New Zealand, the Veenhuis Slurry Tanker features a fully automatic dosage system and an optional NIRS nutrient measuring meter. Delivering up to a 9000-litre per minute output, this tanker is perfectly suited for getting jobs done quickly and accurately without skimping on quality. With choices of dribble bars, splash plates, or direct disc injectors, potentially the only issue is deciding whether to order one or two.
