Founded from the idea of ‘prevention’ to help keep Kiwi farmers and their friends and family safe, RuralSafe works with businesses and individuals to provide customised Safety Management Systems nationwide
RuralSafe prides itself on engaging as a leading industry supporter in health and safety management for Fencing Contractors Association NZ.
RuralSafe has been involved in the rural and fencing industries for more than 40 years, and founders Debbie and Neil Robertson have developed a successful business in this area.
Founded out of the idea of ‘prevention’ to help keep Kiwi farmers and their friends and family safe, RuralSafe works with businesses and individuals to provide customised Safety Management Systems nationwide.
“Being hands-on at the fence line and understanding the risks of the business make it possible to support contractors in the most practical way,” says founder Debbie Robertson.
“For us, it’s a good fit to support FCANZ and its members, to help raise awareness and also compliance in areas of significant importance to the industry and the people involved in a contracting business.Commitment to our values means we can help our clients save lives in their workplace in a practical way, and keeping alert to the latest health and safety standards and policies can help our clients understand the changing landscape of safety relevant to their business.”
RuralSafe strives to help support clients through all business activities: duties of the company, directors, and officers’ due diligence and duty of care, safety talks, pre-starts, training in accident or incident situations, and helping navigate the requirements of legislation and improving awareness of responsibilities.
“Health and safety is part of everyday business and understanding how your business operates is important to the type of support and safety management system you use.”
Equally important is the fact RuralSafe is a verified member registered to Health and Safety Association NZ (HASANZ), meaning it practices as a workplace health and safety professional.
Businesses can be confident that people on the HASANZ Register have met the standard of competence required by their professional association to support their business in all health and safety matters.
“We work with many industry types from rural contracting, farming, office, and commercial businesses and are always happy to discuss individual requirements for health and safety support.”
