Three new tractors in the completely new Massey Ferguson 6700 Global Series are being introduced to the Australian and New Zealand markets

Massey Ferguson is a worldwide brand of AGCO and the new additions, delivering a maximum power of 132hp, will be the largest, most powerful models in Massey Ferguson’s Global Series.

"The MF 6700 Series is the culmination of Massey Ferguson’s significant investment in developing the Global Series. These completely new tractors are the first and only in the sector to be developed in the 21st century using the most modern design and manufacturing technology," product manager Paul Morris says.

"The modern, straightforward Global Series tractors are purpose-built for ease of use, cost-effective operation, and superior reliability without compromising on comfort or performance. The latest MF 6700 Series, with a 2.5-metre wheelbase and 5.2-tonne linkage capacity, now extend these benefits into another sector.

"Strong and agile, they make ideal loader tractors, capable of handling heavy loads. They are also perfect for livestock and mixed farming enterprises, while their ease of operation and low cost of ownership makes them well-suited to working in fleets on large enterprises, or as the second or third main tractor on big arable farms."

The MF 4700, MF 5700, and MF 6700 offer an extensive choice of seven models, ranging from 74 to 132hp.

The MF 6700 Series features include:

  • Advanced AGCO Power 4.4-litre, four-cylinder engines
  • 12 x 12 mechanical gearbox developed specifically for the MF 6700 Series with adjustable power shuttle
  • Advanced open-centre hydraulic system with tandem pump for 98 litres/min combined flow
  • Rear linkage operation using proven, modern electronic linkage control (ELC) with linkage arm sensors
  • Maximum 5200kg lift capacity, handling modern equipment with ease
  • Standard independent 540/540E/1000rpm PTO with electro-hydraulic engagement and speed change

The MF 6700 Series make perfect loader tractors, with the combined flow 98 litres/min hydraulic system further improving handling performance. Each model is fully compatible with the five largest models, from the MF 946X or new MF FL4018 upwards in the Massey Ferguson 900X and Massey Ferguson Professional series loader ranges, which are standard with mechanical self-levelling.

A range of non-self-levelling loaders is also available in New Zealand that offers a wide choice of lift capacities and reach, as well as control via the integrated Massey Ferguson joystick.
