Intelligent, lightweight design utilises innovative drives that provide long working life, low fuel consumption, and ease of use.

The smart design means that the Slicer range is capable of operating at high speeds and can safely harvest large volumes of grass and other crops without blockages.

The range currently includes both front and vertical lift rear-mounted mowers as well as butterfly rear combinations. Front and rear single units are available in either a 3.1- or 3.6-metre cut. Butterfly units are available in either an 8.6- or 9.6-metre cutting width.

All models are available with a tine or roller conditioner, if required, to suit conditions across all New Zealand farms. The intensity of the tine conditioner is easily adjusted in four stages by means of counter comb. Roller conditioner intensity is infinitely variable with a preload spring on the upper roller.

On Fendt Slicer rear mowers with centre suspension, butterfly combinations and the Slicer FQ front mower, the patented hydropneumatic cutter bar relief known as TurboLift ensures a reliable and consistent floating cut.

The TurboLift system ensures the optimum ground pressure while mowing and can be quickly and continuously adjusted to the conditions, even while driving. This increases turf protection and protects the crop as it ensures the forage stays free of dirt, even in wet areas and contributes to maintaining forage quality.

Slicer FQ front mowers also have three-dimensional ground adjustment, which allows the front mower to adjust its angle to follow contours. Depending on whether the cutter bed is moving up or down, the mower tilt automatically moves from -6° to +15° in sync with the vertical movement of the mower.

The range can also be specified with hydraulically-operated lateral shift, which moves the front mower 20cm to the right or left to compensate for drift or prevents skid marks when used in a mower combination.

SafetySwing is the patented impact protection system on Slicer rear mowers. Thanks to the large SafetySwing lever arm, the mower units move safely up and to the rear to pass over the obstacle if one is encountered.  They then return automatically to the operating position so that you can continue working without interruption.

All Fendt Slicers are equipped with the ComfortChange quick-release blade system, which allows you to easily replace blades using a special tool ensuring that maintenance and repair time is kept to a minimum during the busy cutting season.

The Fendt Slicer range is available in New Zealand now ready for the season.
