Hot tractor on display at Fieldays

If you’re heading to New Zealand National Agricultural Fieldays®, odds are you’ll spot the eyecatching new Case IH special edition ‘fire’ tractor.

The ‘fire’ tractor, as it is known,  is part of the newly formed partnership between Case IH and with Fire and Emergency New Zealand.

Equipped with flashing lights and a siren, the one-of-a-kind Case IH Farmall tractor is finished in livery as seen on fire engines all over the country.

Although it won’t be used to fight fires, the Case IH fire tractor will assist Fire and Emergency New Zealand with spreading the message about fire safety in rural New Zealand.

“Fire and Emergency NZ plays a vital role in helping keep our communities safe,” says Case IH Operations Manager Tim Fanning.

“We are delighted to partner with Fire and Emergency New Zealand to create a tool that will help them to engage with the public in a fun and unique way.  We can’t wait to see it travelling the country promoting fire safety”.

Fire and Emergency’s National Advisor Fire Risk Management Rob Goldring says that he welcomes the partnership and tractor.

“The new fire tractor will enable us to enter into conversations with rural communities about developing greater resilience, especially when it comes to fire prevention and volunteer sustainability,” he says.

The fire tractor’s first public appearance will be at National Fieldays at Mystery Creek this week and will then appear at numerous community events throughout the country.
