The universal Horsch Avatar 12.25 SD comes with several new equipment options, including a new operating concept
The intuitive operating logic (based on ISOBUS) makes it easier for operators to set up, operate, and monitor technology. The touch terminal allows for easy customisation of the terminal interface for individual preferences. With the new hardware and software, Horsch creates a platform that can serve an almost unlimited number of components during dosing.
Thanks to its folding capabilities, the machine boasts compact transport dimensions (with a possible outer width of three metres) ideal for road transport. For driving in the field, tyre variants range from 520 wide tyres to 900 wide tyres and twin tyres. The newly developed seed tank platform holds 6500 litres and can be ordered as a double tank. The distribution of the total volume takes place in the ratios 60:40.
The MiniDrill G&F can be selected as an option to significantly increase the range. This additional tank has a capacity of 400 litres and is often used for seeds such as rape or other fine seeds, as well as for granules or slug pellets. In this way, filling stops can be reduced and, depending on requirements, up to three components can be dosed at the same time.
The seed wagon concept promises maximum application windows. Thanks to the large-volume tyre widths and different tyre types, ground pressure is minimised even in wet soil conditions and enables soil-friendly work. The double support wheels on the wings also ensure small tracks and the best ground tracking. With its single-row structure with SingleDisc coulters and row spacing of 25cm, the Avatar 12.25 SD is not only ideal for mechanical crop care but also for a wide variety of sowing conditions such as direct sowing, mulch sowing, in standing catch crops, etc.
Additional optional equipment such as the WorkLight Pro LED headlight system also enables driving at night. This is particularly advantageous for a good view of the seed coulters and the machine, even in the dark.
As with all Horsch Avatar models, the HM runner and the newly developed HM Plus ensure high durability and a particularly long service life for the seed coulter.
