New Kuhn four-rotor rakes

Kuhn has released two new four-rotor rakes, the GA 13231 and GA 15231, featuring a number of upgrades

  • The electronic architecture incorporates the new ISOBUS M500 module, which delivers increased power and capacity than the former model.
  • A redesign of the ISOBUS terminal interface for machine control to make it more user-friendly, with the ability to generate graphic icons related to the various functions (for use with the ISOBUS CCI A3 joystick).
  • Individual working width adjustment is available as standard.
  • The suspension of the front rotors, now carried out via hydraulic cylinders, allow a more precise adjustment of the latter. Automatic ground pressure adjustment is possible depending on the working width allowing the user to easily adapt the machine to working conditions.

Other improvements include new adjustment of the working height, a new hydraulic block with new electronic management, and new sensors improving precision and diagnosis.

All the features that have contributed to the Kuhn four-rotor rake reputation remain, with the exclusive 100% hydraulic drive allowing perfect adaptation of rotor speed to the forage type and yield, while minimising maintenance work.

The Boost function improves windrow quality by increasing the speed of the front rotors by 20% compared to the rear rotors to build a homogeneous and airy windrow. The individual rotor lifting allows to avoid obstacles and adapt work to the changing shape of the plots.

Visuel GA_CCI1200 (1).jpgThe Kuhn legacy includes the GA 15131 rake which still remains the world record rake since 2019 in Denmark, where it was able to rake 188.9 ha in only eight hours. Synonymous with high yields, versatility and impeccable quality of work, this Kuhn machine with a working width of 9.5 to 14.7 metres was the basis of a high-performance harvesting chain.

The new model Kuhn rakes are available from Norwood distributors throughout New Zealand.
