Country TV is New Zealand’s only dedicated rural and equestrian television channel.  Providing entertaining and informative programming for the farming, equestrian and rural households.  Country TV is pleased to announce the promotion of Vanessa Veart-Smith to the role of General Manager Sales & Marketing.

Country TV Chairman Chris Gedye made the announcement last week, "We are incredibly proud of Vanessa, and thrilled that she has accepted our offer of this role," said Mr Gedye. "Vanessa’s business acumen, high level of prospecting, and strategic ability to manage outcomes – making her uniquely qualified to serve as GM Sales & Marketing. She has already achieved a great deal with Country TV in the last two years at the company, and in addition to her career accomplishments, she has earned the respect and admiration of her team and colleagues. IO have the utmost confidence in Vanessa’s abilities, and am certain she will lead the team toward future growth and success."

Vanessa Veart-Smith joined Country TV as an Accounts Manager in early 2012 she was promoted to Sales Manager, assuming increased responsibilities for Country TV’s sales department, as well as supervising the sales team budgets, from forecasts through compilation through to implementation and monitoring. Vanessa Veart-Smith previously help positions include Business Development Manager for Alexandra Park and Business Services Manager, Fleet Engineering Center of the Royal New Zealand Navy as well as various roles within the community such as solely devising the initiative for fundraising donation items to send to flood victims and horses in Queensland during 2010/11.

Country TV: Country TV is 100% NZ, and a privately owned company that provides specialized programming for the rural and equestrian viewers of New Zealand, 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Country TV creates their own rural News programme, The Daily Report, airing weeknights at 7pm, that includes an exclusive long range 10 day rural weather forecast. By creating theme nights, Country TV is creating appointment viewing where farmers and horse lovers know when to tune in to get their up- to- date relevant programming. No other television channel is dedicated to bringing into the homes of New Zealanders shows that inform, entertain and educate on current issues, local content, and international updates. Country TV offers a vast variety of low cost high quality advertising and production services to clients, including television commercials, specific programming creation and sponsorship as well as web based production or just delivering clients messages into the homes of farming and equestrian households.
