Kubota releases new B2601 tractor
Kubota New Zealand has released the all new B2601 model to its popular range of tractors.
Kubota’s new B2601 tractor delivers the perfect blend of power and performance to take on any task. The 26 horsepower tractor features hydrostatic transmission, power steering and a large operator friendly work platform. A range of attachments is available to complete this tractor package.
The B2601 series tractor has excellent engine power and efficiency. The B2601 series is powered by a three cylinder Kubota diesel engine that has earned respect for its exceptional reliability, low noise, low vibrations and clean emissions produced by Kubota’s unique E-TVCS (Three Vortex Combustion System) are factors that make the new B2601 series ideal for operations in residential areas.
A standard hydrostatic transmission (HST) has three ranges to precisely match the ideal operational speed to the job at hand.
Excellent forward vision is due to the slanted hood design and the multi-reflective halogen headlights mounted into the hood to provide excellent night vision. A new design grille with external mesh contributes to simpler maintenance as grass cuttings are less likely to stick. The B2601 series tractor features wide fenders with large grab handles and well laid out colour coded control levers for easy identification. There is even a cup holder on the left-hand fender.
With a long wheelbase, the B2601 series tractor delivers a smoother more comfortable ride. Integrated power steering is a standard inclusion as well as cruise control. The operator space is large and comfortable and allows easy mounting and dismounting from the tractor. The back lit dash panel has large lettering and is not obstructed by the steering wheel. A toolbox fitted behind the seat is ideal for storage of the operators manual and tools necessary for on-site maintenance.
The three point linkage hydraulic system incorporates a position control valve for quick and precise height adjustment of the linkage. Another added feature to the B2601 series hydraulics is a four position valve, primarily for front end loader use but can also be used for other implements to expand the range of possible applications.
Mid mounted mowers both practical and labour saving are available for the B2601 series tractor in a 54 or 60 inch cutting width configuration. Kubota mid mounted mowers are renowned for their reliability, robustness and finish of cut. These mowers have long life double belt drives, cast pulleys, trailing type linkage and offer good clearance for travelling over obstacles such as gutters when in the transport position. Cutting heights of the mowers are easily adjusted from the tractor seat with the cutting height adjustment dial located on the operator platform. These mower decks are of a drive over type for ease of fitting and removing.
To make this new B2601 series tractor even more versatile a quick attach/detach LA434 Kubota front end loader and new BH70 Kubota backhoe are also available. The BH70 is also a quick attach/detach unit to enable quick changes of implements. A mechanical thumb option is available for the BH70 backhoe.
