A private collection of classic tractors are going to auction in Ireland

A large private collection of more than 100 classic tractors, including many historically important models from the 40s, 50s, and 60s, are set to go under the hammer in Ireland.

Including associated equipment, the collection is expected to have a total hammer price of around NZ$1.7 million by Euro Auctions.

Amassed and lovingly maintained by owner John Flynn over the past four decades, the cherished collection in Northern Ireland is reputed to be one of the best in private hands.

All tractors have been restored, are well maintained, and in full working order. They have also been stored in museum-like conditions rather than being regularly driven, generating considerable interest from enthusiasts and collectors from around the globe.

The one-day auction is set for April 15 and operations manager for Euro Auctions Jonnie Keys says some of the rarest and best examples of classic and historic tractors are about to become available for others to own.

The collection includes almost 30 Massey Ferguson tractors including a MF97, a highly collectable Ferguson Brown prototype, a rare 1943 Ford Ferguson Funk, and many examples of the Porsche Junior 108 tractor.
