The mid-size two-seater is powered by a 48-volt AC drivetrain and develops 36hp and an impressive 298Nm of torque. It’s the first electric UTV on the market with Discover Traction Dry Cell battery technology that has been specifically designed for long run times.

It’s also maintenance-free. According to Hisun, the Sector E1 will operate for up to eight hours on a single charge with a top speed of 45kph and a range of up to 70km depending on the driving style, terrain, and load factors.

Load capacity of the cargo bed is just shy of 230kg and the tow rating is 680kg. Several E1 UTVs has been field tested on New Zealand farms and the performance has been consistent with factory estimates. The E1 can be fully charged in between six and eight hours.

Like most Hisun ATVs, this one is fully equipped with all the bells and whistles and includes standard equipment that is often only available as optional extras. The Sector E1 UTV is available throughout New Zealand from mid-June onwards and is priced at $16,500 depending on the specifications.
