Design award for Massey Ferguson
The Massey Ferguson 8S Series is racking up awards from around the globe with the latest being recognition of its product design
The awards keep rolling in for the innovative Massey Ferguson 8S Series of tractors.
Hot on the heels of taking out the prestigious Tractor of the Year 2021 as well as Best Global Digital launch 2020 (for the MF 8S.265 Dyna E-Power Exclusive), the 8S Series has also won a Red Dot Award: Product Design 2021 for Product design, in the commercial vehicle category.
An international jury selected the MF 8S from thousands of entries from more than 60 countries for the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2021 Award, which is only presented to products that feature outstanding design.

"With the MF 8S Series, we’re defining a new era in tractor design, which the jury has distinguished with the Red Dot: Product Design 2021 Award.
"Developed for farmers by farmers, following seven years of thorough testing and extensive customer consultation, the MF 8S Series combines radical designs with a practical purpose. While equipped to a superb specification, it also introduces a completely new and enhanced user experience."
The distinctive Protect-U design with its 24cm gap between the cab and the engine installation sets the MF 8 S Series apart from all other tractors. As well are reducing heat, noise, and vibrations being transmitted to the cab, the unique encapsulated engine position improves cooling and performance.
Completely new, the MF 8S Series introduces novel, innovative designs in every area – engine, cab, transmissions, and driveline as well as new controls and connectivity. Equipped to a high standard, it comes with different specification packages, which offer great value for money, ensuring buyers can tailor the tractors to suit their specific applications.
There’s a choice of four models from 205 to 265hp, all offering 20hp of extra power with Engine Power Management.
With the launch of the MF 8S Series, Massey Ferguson is meeting the demands of modern, sustainable farming by combining state-of-the-art machinery with a comprehensive range of fully connected services to help customers manage their businesses more effectively. The new range will be available late in 2021 for Australian and New Zealand customers.
