Rural News: Trelleborg official sponsor of Machine of the Year Brazil

With the Machine of the Year Brazil awards set to showcase this week, Trelleborg is sponsoring the prestigious awards for the ninth consecutive year.

For the ninth consecutive year, Trelleborg is the official sponsor for the Machine of the Year Brazil® awards, recognising agricultural machinery excellence in five different product categories: grain harvesters, coffee harvesters, sowing machines, sprayers, and harvesting platforms.

Judged by industry specialists, agricultural Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) from Brazil will compete for recognition as the best in their field with their latest generation of machines.

New for 2022, people from all over the world can vote online for their favourite brand to win the ‘most voted brand’ award at machineoftheyear.net from 15 March to 20 April 2022, with the awards ceremony taking place at Agrishow 2022.

Julian Mendieta, president of Agriworld magazine and organiser of the awards, adds, "These awards could not have happened without the support of Trelleborg and the Technical Evaluation Committee: a team of PhD professors and industry experts, led by professor Leonardo Monteiro, a renowned professor of agricultural mechanisation at Federal University of Ceará, Brazil. This year’s Machine of the Year Brazil awards has seen more categories of machines competing than ever before. First held in 2013, the Machine of the Year Brazil awards is held every two years in Brazil, alternating with the Tractor of the Year Brazil awards, both sponsored by Trelleborg. The awards ceremony will take place at Agrishow, Ribeirão Preto, São Paulo, Brazil. Agrishow is one of the world’s largest agricultural technology trade shows for agricultural manufacturers, taking place from 25 to 29 April 2022.
