Rural News: Kuhn expands its presence in the Waikato

Kuhn is set to have an increased Waikato presence with the upcoming launch of its new direct retailing business, Kuhn Waikato, on July 1.

Leading agricultural machinery supplier Kuhn is set to expand its presence in the Waikato market from 1 July, with the establishment of its new direct retailing business, Kuhn Waikato – a subsidiary of Kuhn New Zealand.

Well known for its comprehensive range of premium quality agricultural equipment, Kuhn is embarking on an innovative new approach that it believes will result in a better overall experience for customers.

The brand will continue to be sold and supported via its existing and well-established dealership network covering the length of the country, and alongside three longstanding Kuhn dealers in the Waikato and Bay of Plenty area: Roger Gill Agriculture with locations in Huntly and Pukekohe, Whyteline based in Paeroa, and W J Dippie servicing the eastern Bay of Plenty. 

Kuhn Waikato will focus on supporting customers in the area previously covered by Giltrap AgriZone, which will discontinue as a retailer once its agreement with Kuhn finishes at the end of June. Kuhn New Zealand general manager, Mark Hamilton-Manns is confident the decision to establish Kuhn Waikato and work directly with farmers and contractors will significantly enhance their experience.

"We asked our customers in the Waikato, and they told us they want to deal with experienced and knowledgeable specialists that know how to get the most out of the product and can quickly diagnose and resolve an issue when it arises. We can deliver this because we have factory-trained experts that only deal with Kuhn."    

Kuhn Waikato will also help to facilitate the factory product testing and development programme where local conditions provide the perfect environment during Europe’s winter months.
