Held in Dunedin from 3 to 5 August 2022, FCNZ Conference 2022 also incorporates the second FCNZ National Fencing Field Day.

Open to the public and located at the Otago Taieri A & P Showgrounds, the FCNZ National Fencing Field Day will be a welcome event for anyone interested in the opportunity to see a range of machinery and products relating to rural, residential, and security fencing.

With an emphasis on the practical, there will be an opportunity to see products in more of a demonstrative environment than just sitting on a shelf in the rural supply store.

This event will showcase the best products, services, and equipment available to the fencing and farming communities, including new products, fencing tools, machinery, off-road work vehicles, clothing, and personal protection equipment.

The National Fencing Field Day programme will include product demonstrations in a more interactive environment than one normally comes across at a field day. It’s an invaluable opportunity to see the product off the retail shelf being used in a practical environment and demonstrating industry-best practice techniques. Numerous Fencing Contractors from across the country will be mingling and networking there while pitting themselves against each other in a number of skills-based and novelty competitions.

For those in the fencing industry, FCNZ Conference 2022 addresses ‘Creating Work-Life Balance’. Many fencing business owners are trying to balance running a business (often on the tools) with managing their own wellbeing and that of their employees while also dealing with a constantly changing commercial, regulatory, and technological environment. With so many unprecedented challenges facing the industry, employer and employee wellbeing is more important than ever. Creating a work-life balance is the key to wellbeing, and it can be a challenging task in itself.

FCNZ Conference 2022 will look at how fencing contractors can reap the rewards of an engaged and motivated team, and how they can confidently step away from the fence line to focus on building a stronger business. By providing the opportunity to explore tools available to the industry to simplify business processes and remove some of the daily stresses of being a fencing contractor, delegates will leave feeling more in control of their own wellbeing and their business processes.

There are limited spaces available for Conference 2022, so it’s recommended that attendees register early.
