Mercedes-Benz calls for entries to redesign its Vito van

Mercedes-Benz Vans is inviting creatives, entrepreneurs, and small businesses in Australia and New Zealand to submit their ideas for the redesign of the Vito van.

Six teams will be selected from the entry pool who will participate in the ‘Hack My Van’ competition on 17 August where they will pitch their idea to a team of judges. The winning team will take home a new Mercedes-Benz Vito.

During the process, the selected team will work alongside product experts from Mercedes-Benz Vans. The redesigned Vito will then be presented to a panel of judges that includes industry entrepreneurs and business leaders such as Shane Delia, Megan Morton, Diane Tarr, Dr. Kate Cornick, and Nick Crocker.

While the winning team will be awarded a new Mercedes-Benz Vita, RedZed Lending Solutions will award the first runner-up will a a $5,000 cash grant and the second runner-up a $2,500 cash grant.

“We ran this event for the first time in 2016 and were so impressed with the diversity and creativity on display from our finalists. This year we are really pleased to open up Hack My Van to New Zealand and can’t wait to see the entries,” managing director of Mercedes-Benz Vans Australia and New Zealand, Diane Tarr, says.
