Sheep herding on a small scale has never been easier, thanks to a new innovation by Invercargill-based company Lite-A-Load products.

The Lite-A-Load ATV Trailer was developed to eliminate any need for farmers to bend, lift or climb when loading and off-loading stock on to a trailer.

On display recently at the Southern Field Days in Waimumu, Southland, this trailer boasts a unique, in-built, spring-loaded stock ramp, which, together with the gate, forms a barrier to the side, making it easier to shepherd onto the trailer without having to lift stock. The non-return internal wing allows farmers to deal with other stock without risk of those already loaded jumping off. The bi-folding exit gate, which is easy to use with just one hand if necessary, offers greater opportunity to control and manage the safe exiting of stock. There is full upright access for farmers onto the trailer.

The trailer is made from galvanised materials and comes in a standard size of 1200mm x 1500mm (although customised sizing is available). There is also a one-year warranty on all products.

The Lite-A-Load ATV Trailer currently retails for $2299+ GST. Contact Lite-a-Load Products, tel 021 111 8655 (mobile) or visit www.lite-a-load.com
