The lineup for our Top Tractor Shoot Out competition is hotly sought-after, and finally, we can announce the contenders.
This year at the South Island Agricultural Field Days (March 28–31), our team of four judges will each put the following tractors through their paces:
- Deutz-Fahr Agrotron 6165 TTV
- New Holland T7.225
- Case IH Puma 240 CVT
- Kubota M7-171 KVT
- Massey Ferguson 7720 DVT
- Fendt 716
- Claas Axion 930
- John Deere 6175R
We’ll be testing each tractor hooked up to a variety of implements, including a trailing cultivator, power harrow, and large silage trailer. Each tractor will be scored to the same criteria. After extensive discussion, our judges will then determine the overall winner of the Top Tractor Shoot Out 2017 best value for money CVT tractor, which we’ll announce in the following issue. You can also read detailed test articles on each tractor next month and see the tractors in action at farmtrader.co.nz. The results will also screen on Country TV.
