The Southern Field Days return to Waimumu, Gore, from 14 to 16 February 2024
Now one of the key events on the agricultural calendar, the event began with ideas from some rural folk back in 1982. From here, it has grown into a volunteer committee of 23, as well as one paid employee and a caretaker.
The 57ha owned site brings in approximately 700 exhibitors, along with 40,000 visitors across three days.
“Whether you are attending from just up the road or from overseas we look forward to hosting you,” says Southern Field Days chairman Steve Henderson.
“Field Days brings together not only exhibitors from across the country and overseas, but also the wider New Zealand rural and urban communities. It has been four years since we’ve had the opportunity to hold this event to showcase the latest in agriculture and rural technology.
“We’re excited to bring this event across 14-16th February. I’d like to thank all the exhibitors, community groups, attendees and our committee for making this biannual event happen. Enjoy your time onsite seeing what the current and future of agriculture holds, and we look forward to seeing you again in 2026.”
Southern Field Days operates from 9am-5pm daily, with an interactive map available to help visitors navigate the showgrounds. The line up traditionally includes Innovation Awards, tractor pull, fencing competitions, speed shearing and a digger competition.
Tickets are $20 adults, children under 16 are free. Southernfielddays.co.nz
