From Te Aroha roots to Waikato-wide reach, AgPlus is backing farmers with Strautmann gear built for strength, precision, and reliability
AgPlus is a family business reshaping the fields of the Waikato. Based in Te Aroha, it’s run from the ground up by Stan and Fiona Knight, a couple who know a thing or two about land and the people who make their living from it.
Born and bred in Te Aroha, the Knights know rural towns survive on businesses like theirs – committed to selling and servicing the machinery vital to farming life. From modest beginnings, AgPlus has grown steadily, now reaching across Waikato, the Bay of Plenty, and into South Auckland.
Part of that success is due to the machinery brands AgPlus represents: Strautmann, McCormick, Lemken, and Polaris.
Stan, a diesel mechanic by trade, has the experience to recognise machines that deliver on their promises, and that knowledge has guided the business from the start.
At the heart of AgPlus is its long-standing relationship with Strautmann. Known for its distinctive red-and-green livery, the German brand specialises in forage, feeding, and effluent machinery designed for the demands of New Zealand farming. As Strautmann’s official dealer for Waikato and Bay of Plenty, AgPlus not only supplies these machines but also backs them with service and support that keep customers loyal.
AgPlus recently delivered a Strautmann VS 2005 muck spreader to Kaiser Ag, a longstanding contracting operation situated between Morrinsville and Matamata.
Kaiser Ag already run two Strautmann loader wagons and a muck spreader, both fitted with GPS and scale systems. In today’s world of precision farming, this technology ensures every kilogram is accounted for, and every application is fully traceable.
