Special feature: TGB Blade

TGB Blade

TGB is a newcomer to the New Zealand market, designed for farms, lifestyle blocks, orchards, hunting and trail rides

Offering two models currently to encompass the unique demands of the New Zealand market, the lineup includes the Blade 550 EPS and Blade 600 AR EPS, with the UTV1000 Landmark SE side-by-side set to arrive in 2025.

This globally recognised brand traces its origins back to 1965 and the early production of Vespa scooters, before the range expanded into TGB’s own utility ATV in 2005. The Blade 550 was nominated as the best-selling ATV in France and Germany in 2009 and received the ATV of the Year 2010 title.

The evolution continued over the next decade, as TGB ATVs were upgraded with electronic fuel injection technology, with the Blade 550 again receiving global kudos with the Quad of the Year 2013 award in Germany.

Having developed its own electric power steering (EPS) in 2014, which significantly contributed to better handling, safer driving and easier control, a year later (2015) TGB launched its ATV 1000, the most powerful engine among Taiwanese manufacturers, with the engine being used by other agricultural manufacturers for their UTV products.

In 2022, the TGB brand finally arrived in New Zealand, bringing the well-proven Blade 550 EPS and Blade 600AR EPS to the market.

Both models can be kitted out with toolboxes, dog mats and rollover protection. TGB also offers a farm kit, and for orchard users, the TBGs can be supplied with low-profile tyres to fit under vines.

The farm package includes front and rear sidebars, headlight-protecting bull bars, seat cover, stainless steel rear mudflap bar and mudflaps.

TGB New Zealand continues the legacy of the international presence and reputation TGB Global has developed and is a Kiwi business run for Kiwis by Kiwis.

Prior to being promoted to farmers and prospective purchasers, the TGB four-wheelers were thoroughly tested in a variety of New Zealand conditions and terrain.

Dealerships around the country now also represent TGB four-wheelers, which continue to sell well and are definitely standing up to life on Kiwi farms. Repeat customers are already ordering further TGB Blades as their initial purchase has more than proven itself.
