TRC Tractors took Kiwi farmers to Scotland for a behind-the-scenes look at Stewart Trailers
Known for their uncompromising build quality and their slogan, ‘Bigger, Stronger, Tougher’, Stewart Trailers quickly proved the perfect fit for TRC’s vision of offering premium machinery to New Zealand farmers.
This year, Aaron and Debs from TRC finally made good on a long-held plan to take a group of customers to Europe to tour tractor factories. With their strong partnership with Stewart Trailers now well established, they added a special stop in Scotland to showcase the brand up close.

It turned out to be a highlight of the trip. Arriving early at the Stewart factory in Inverurie, the busload of Kiwi farmers was welcomed with coffee and warm Scottish hospitality before being split into groups for a behind-the-scenes tour. The factory floor had even been rearranged to host them.
From start to finish, the group gained an in-depth look at the craftsmanship behind every Stewart Trailer, including the shot blasting process that gives the steel its superior paint finish.
There was plenty of excitement as customers spotted their own trailers mid-production. Craig and Janine Pilet of Pilet Contracting and Paul and Kylie from Ingram Engineering both had trailers on the line, with Paul even helping put the final touches on his custom-built SL 13-17 SS model. For TRC, seeing their own demonstrator trailer underway added to the buzz.

The following day, James and Mandy Stewart of Stewart Trailers hosted the group at Savock Farms. There, farmer Andrew Booth shared a tour of his diverse operation, which includes a biogas plant and gluten-free oat production – all powered along by a fleet of Stewart Trailers.
The visit was capped off in true Scottish style at the Lochter Activity Centre, where Mandy Stewart organised a lively Ceilidh. Every Kiwi guest donned a kilt and joined in the traditional dancing, forging memories as strong as the trailers themselves.

For TRC Tractors and their customers, the trip wasn’t just about machinery – it was about connection, quality, and celebrating a partnership that’s set to keep New Zealand farms moving bigger, stronger, tougher.
