Carraro has launched its range of Agricube Pro tractors with Stage V engines, aimed at the specialist orchard and vineyard market

The new Carraro Agricube Pro tractor range has been launched for orchard and vineyard work

Equipped with FPT Stage V F28 diesel engines, this is the first agricultural application of the engine and marks the ongoing relationship between Carraro and FPT Industrial and the transition to utilising Stage V engines in Carraro tractors.

The F28 engine has been adopted for the entire Agricube range, with power outputs of 72, 92, and 102hp (55, 68, and 75kW) respectively for the 8.5, 9.5, and 10.5 vineyard and orchard models.

Able to produce 102hp at 2300 rpm and 415Nm at 1500 rpm, this 2.8-litre engine delivers the same performance level as a 3.4-litre but with the size of a two-litre unit.

Carraro says these benefits in terms of compactness and high-power density, combined with high fuel efficiency, were the reason for their use in tractors intended to operate between high-value rows of vines or trees, using attachments with intensive hydraulic power demands.

The entire exhaust gas after-treatment system is contained in a single module underneath the hood to further reduce dimensions and ensure perfect visibility for the driver.

The single-side serviceability and 600-hour oil change interval mean easier maintenance and lower running costs.Designed to be multi-energy, the F28 can operate on diesel and is also pre-fitted for natural gas and for hybrid applications.
